CALL FOR PAPERS – IX CONFERENCE ON STRATEGIC STUDIES
SECOND CALL
The Center of International Policy Research (CIPI), co-sponsored by the Latin American Social Council (CLACSO), is calling for the IX Conference on Strategic Studies to be held from October 2 to 4, 2024.
The IX Conference on Strategic Studies invites researchers, professors, analysts, students, and the general public to deepen the discussion on the main trends and transformations taking place in the field of international relations, under the central topic “The South in geopolitical reconfiguration: the pathways of transition”.
Thematic lines:
- Geopolitics, international conflicts, and world peace.
- Global problems in the transition of the international order: trends of globalization, climate change, energy, technological competition, security, migration, pandemics, and others.
- Multipolarity, multilateralism, and new geopolitical blocs: impact on the formation of a new world order.
- Geopolitics and strategic resources.
- Traditional and emerging power poles: a new center-periphery relationship?
- Regional middle powers and their role in the transition of the international order.
- Political science and theory of international relations: new approaches and conceptions from the South.
- 65 years of the Cuban Revolution: impact on international relations.
The Conference is held in the context of the commemoration of the 65 years of Cuban revolutionary diplomacy, oriented towards the construction of an international order based on justice, peace, and solidarity.
The text of the papers must be between 5 and 8 pages long and must be sent to the email address cee@cipi.cu before July 31, 2024, including: full name, scientific degree, institutional affiliation, country of origin of the authors, email, and contact phone.
